Withrow Park Farmers' Market
Toronto, Ontario

Vaughan - May 13th, 2022 - A quick 9-minute drive from Evergreen Brickworks, I drove through one of my favourite spots in Toronto (the Don Parklands) towards Riverdale where I visited the Withrow Park Farmers’ Market.
It was an absolutely gorgeous morning so I parked my car on a side street, not minding the short walk to the market. The market was situated amidst Withrow Park, and with the sun shining, music playing, and people everywhere sitting/eating/being merry, I couldn’t have dreamed of a better atmosphere for the market. It’s no wonder Withrow Park Farmers’ Market made it to my Top 5 Farmers’ Market of 2021.
The market was filled with awesome vendors (and a wide array of them, may I add), all set up in a huge circle around the park. The flow of traffic was easy, and everyone was comfortable moving at their own pace (which is SO important). Though my visit here was a while ago, the one vendor that still sticks with me is the crew from Chrisoda. I had a long, great talk with them and purchased a few of their cans of apple cider drink. And my goodness… am I ever happy I did. One of my favourite sodas to this day.
Withrow Park Farmers’ Market is run by a market manager, supported by volunteers and local residents wanting to enhance their community, support local farmers and food producers and make it easier for shoppers to access fresh and healthy food. The market’s first season was in 2006. It has been well-supported and well-loved since then. The 2022 market season will begin on Saturday, June 4th!
I will definitely be making an appearance once again, and you should too. Before your visit, check out their website for more details.
