The Town Bloom
Caledon, Ontario

Toronto - August 3, 2021 - Driving west on Highway 9 on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon, I approached what looked like a jungle oasis from street view. I slowed to scope out the scene, and immediately turned right into the driveway of what I then learned was The Town Bloom.
The Town Bloom is a local garden centre in the GTA, with a gorgeous outdoor display and a brilliant indoor tropical showroom. The centre offers an array of products from annuals, perennials, shrubs, veggies and herbs, trees and evergreens, hanging baskets, bulk spoils, fruit trees and berry shrubs, indoor house plants, as well as gardening and landscaping tools. During my visit, I knew there was a method behind the way they set up their market and grounds. After doing my research I learned about the biophilic design of their market. Biophilic design is a concept used within the building industry to increase occupant connectivity to the natural environment through the use of direct nature, indirect nature, and space and place conditions. This design and effect shine through at the Town Bloom, and I am sure the same goes for all of the space they design.
The Town Bloom has been in business for over 20 years, and also offers professional landscaping services to surrounding communities. Especially during spring when you are planning your at home garden and yard, I highly recommend you visit this Caledon gem.
