The Good Earth Food & Wine Co.
Beamsville, Ontario
Vaughan - February 11th, 2023 - In May of last year, Christina ventured to Niagara on the Lake for a bachelorette party. On her way south-west, she made a stop in Beamsville, Ontario to visit a farm that we have had our sites set on for quite some time.
The Good Earth Food & Wine Co. is more than just a farm on the map. This spot is an entire experience involving food, wine, and farm fun - does it get any better!? Upon arrival, Christina explored the site where she was greeted by a beautiful vineyard that evidently bore the fruit for Good Wine. She then made her way to the bistro where she enjoyed a lovely lunch. Though it was a rainy day, Christina very much enjoyed her experience here and would love to revisit the spot to enjoy lunch outdoors, as well as get an opportunity to explore their vineyard and farm.
Since 1998, when they opened their Niagara farm, home and hearts to their guests, The Good Earth Food and Wine Co. has been a haven for discerning food and wine lovers and an oasis for the senses. Their gardens, orchards and vineyards provide a spectacular backdrop for wine and culinary experiences that reflect all the good things the earth has to offer.
The Good Wine was born in this petite lot of vineyards nestled at the foot of the Beamsville Bench in Twenty Valley. This region is gaining international recognition for the quality of wines produced and for being a part of the growth of Niagara’s wine country. Their wines are predominantly crafted from Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc grapes. The grapes are tended by gentle hands: hand pruned and thinned judiciously to produce very low yields of quality grapes. They are harvested by hand and transformed into VQA wines that complement the foods of the seasons. This makes them a fitting addition to any feast. Good Wine is sold in the Good Earth retail store on site, which also offers wine tastings.
The Good Earth Bistro that Christina dined at is also a major pillar of the Good Earth experience, offering brunch, lunch and dinner to its guests. Their Executive Chef, Andrew, was born and raised in the Niagara area and has cooked at some of the area’s finest restaurants. Andrew has a gift for making food which is flavourful, beautiful and showcases the best in regional produce.
Last but not least, the Good Earth Farm is a sister property located in Lincoln at 4111 Martin Road. Join them for Fall Family Fun starting in September each year. You can pick your own pumpkins, get lost in the corn maze, hop on the tractor, get your photos taken in the sunflower fields, and more!
So what are you waiting for? There is so much to experience at Good Earth Food & Wine Co. Before your visit, check out their website to see what special events and activations are happening on site.
