Robintide Farms

Maple, Ontario

Vaughan - March 6th, 2022 - There is nothing quite like a farm or market that is less than a 20-minute drive from home. And luckily for me, 20 minutes north of my home is the land of some really great farms. This next place is no exception.

Robintide Farms has been on my Harvest Hunters bucket list since the beginning. On the Monday of the August long weekend, I made my way north on Highway 400 and then further on Jane Street until I reached King-Vaughan Road. With the sun shining, surrounded by acres of open land, I saw the little white side at the end of the driveway to the farm. I turned into the driveway, completely filled with excitement. The farm sits on an absolutely gorgeous plot of land, with acres of farmland and a large, white tent that houses the farm market. The market was filled with fruits, vegetables, honey and sunflowers that come directly from their farm. I quickly came to learn that Robintide Farms actually offers pick-your-own florals during peak flower season. And throughout the year, the farm has a rotating pick-your-own schedule for things like strawberries (mid-June to late July), vegetables (depending on what’s in season), florals (in August, in addition to their Sunflower Walk), and pumpkins (come fall, in addition to their Pumpkin Patch and Corn Walk).

Robintide Farms has been a family farm in Vaughan, Ontario for more than 50 years. The farm activities have included beef cattle, mixed crops, breeding, raising and training quarter horses and raising milk goats and Boer goats. Over recent years, Robintide Farms has been growing its offerings of local farm-fresh pick-your-own and picked-for-you strawberries, raspberries, vegetables, flowers and more each spring and summer, as well as pick-your-own pumpkins in the fall.

This farm is a must-visit as it is perfectly located for those in GTA, and easily accessible from the highway. A local gem, if you will! Before your visit, check out their website to find out more about what’s in-season and activities on the farm.
