Etobicoke Civic Centre Farmers Market

Etobicoke, Ontario

Toronto - August 23, 2021 - The final stop on my west-of-the-GTA tour on July 24th was the Etobicoke Civic Centre Farmers Market.

Located at the Etobicoke Civic Centre at the corner of Burnhamthorpe Road and The West Mall, the market was hard to miss as I merged off of Highway 427. There was a lineup of cars turning into the driveway of the Civic Centre, with complimentary parking on site. I was accompanied by groups of people as I walked over from my car to the designated market area.

In terms of aesthetics, I have to admit that this market was the lesser of the three I visited on this day. However, to that day, it was the market that hosted the most farms that I have seen! The majority of the market was filled with bright and beautiful produce - which is also why I saw many people doing a full on grocery haul at the market. I myself bought a juicy bunch of peaches from Hildreth Farms.

The Etobicoke Civic Centre Farmers Market occurs every Saturday from 8:00am to 2:00pm running from early June to late October. The word “organic” gets thrown around a lot but everything here just seems to look and taste as if it was picked just days prior. For more information, and to plan your trip to the market visit the official website.
