Brampton Farmers' Market

Brampton, Ontario

Toronto - April 5th, 2022 - It was a gorgeous Saturday morning in September when I was extremely hungover, staring out the window and kicking myself for not getting up early and embracing the day. About 45 minutes into groaning and self-pity, I decided that the only way to turn the day around was to make my way to the Brampton Farmers’ Market as planned.

Luckily, only a quick drive from Etobicoke, I arrived at Brampton City Hall around noon. I was shocked by the scope of the site, expanding a few blocks north and south, and another few west and east. I parked my car on the side street, and was immediately enveloped in the sound of excited voices and loud music as I walked towards the main building. At the market’s ‘entrance’, there was a table for the market coordinators, with big speakers playing music to set the tone for the space. With a nod hello (and trying my best to subside my hangover) I walked past the greeters and made my way into the farmers market wonderland set amidst the park.

This was one of the biggest markets I had seen thus far, both in terms of the size of the site and the number of vendors. Vendors included different farms, bakeries, flower farms, dog treat creators, and much, much more. I walked away with arms full of goodies!

The Brampton Farmers' Market operates on Saturdays from 8am to 1pm. The 2022 season vendor list is currently in the works, so stay tuned for updates and get excited for the upcoming season! For regular updates, please visit the farmers market’s website.
